Social Media Strategist (LinkedIn Strategist)

Who You Are
An analytical and creative strategist with proven experience driving measurable results through LinkedIn organic and paid campaigns. You understand how to translate business goals into high-performing social media strategies, develop compelling content, and use data to continuously optimize for lead generation and engagement. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are detail-oriented, and excel at both strategy and execution. Note: Due to the 24/7 nature of social media, you are expected to be available for urgent social media needs. While these situations are rare, maintaining an “always-on” mentality and staying attuned to emerging issues is essential.
📌 This role reports directly to the CMO and requires travel as needed for in-person client meetings and industry tradeshows.
What You’ll Be Doing
LinkedIn Strategy & Campaign Management
● Develop and execute LinkedIn organic and paid strategies that align with client business goals and target audiences.
● Manage and optimize campaigns using LinkedIn Ads Manager to drive qualified leads, web traffic, and brand awareness.
● Build, launch, and manage LinkedIn lead generation campaigns, including audience targeting, creative development, and bid/budget management.
● Create and optimize additional LinkedIn formats, including LinkedIn Newsletters, LinkedIn Live, polls, and events.
● Write compelling ad copy and organic post content designed to drive clicks, form fills, and conversions.
● Partner with creative teams to produce engaging visuals, videos, and carousel assets for LinkedIn campaigns.
Social Content Calendar Strategy
● Strategize and manage social content calendars, including topic selection, link selection, and determining whether content should be organic or paid based on
objectives and best practices.
● Optimize timing and posting cadence for maximum reach and engagement.
● Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content supports larger campaign goals.
Execution & Content Development
● Perform copywriting, image sourcing, and content layout based on templates created by the creative team in Adobe products.
● Schedule and publish posts through Sprout Social and other scheduling tools.
● Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and platform specifications.
Performance Optimization & Analytics
● Monitor campaign and organic post performance daily, adjusting targeting, creative, and budget allocation based on results.
● Track and report on key metrics such as CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and cost per lead.
● Provide actionable insights to improve campaign performance and maximize ROI.
● Implement A/B testing strategies to refine messaging, creative, and audience segments.
● Manage the social advertising budget for assigned clients and provide regular reporting on ad spend and performance.
Platform & Client Support
● While the primary focus is on LinkedIn, support select clients with campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Pinterest, and influencer marketing initiatives.
● Advise clients on emerging platform features, trends, and best practices.
● Present performance reports, trends, and optimization recommendations to clients on a monthly or quarterly basis.
What You Should Have
● Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business.
● 2+ years managing LinkedIn organic and paid campaigns, preferably in a B2B environment.
● Proven track record running lead generation campaigns on LinkedIn.
● Strong understanding of LinkedIn Ads Manager, LinkedIn analytics, and audience targeting strategies.
● Experience with Sprout Social or similar scheduling tools.
● Proficiency in copywriting and basic image editing/layout within Adobe products.
● Ability to analyze campaign data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
● Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
● Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.
